Back to School!!!

So we began our first day back to classes at NTBI yesterday and Paisley began childcare.  Jeremy is taking the full load of courses, 14 hours, and I am part-time taking 10 hours.  We started Intro to Tribal Missions and Daniel/Revelation, and Jeremy started Philippians.  We are so excited to be back to get to study God's Word in depth.  We have started to settle back into our apartment and it has been fun for Paisley to explore her new home.  She is doing well in childcare, but it has been hard for me to leave her.  The great thing is that it is only for two and a half hours a day and the ladies that keep her are great Christian ladies.  She could not be in better hands.  Jeremy and I are enjoying sitting in classes and learning together again.  We are so blessed to be here.  Our Intro to Tribal Missions class has already begun to give us so much insight into what we will be doing.  The teacher, Ron Lindsey, is the president of our school and he previously was a missionary in Papua New Guinea for 18 yrs.  He really makes the class come alive because he has been there.  He has a zeal for the Lord like no man we have ever seen.  It is a lot of the students favorite class here at the Bible School.  Please pray has we begin classes again that the Lord would show Himself to us and that we would have open hearts and mind to what He has for us.  We love you all.

Watch Me Grow: 2 Months!!

Paisley is two months old now and changing everyday! We are both learning that parenting doesn't come without difficulties, but in light of the joy that it brings we think that it is definitely worth it. We have had so much fun with her in the first two months! As you can see, she is growing right before our eyes! She is a very smiley baby and melts her daddy's heart every time she grins! We know that time is going to fly by and that instruction and training in the Lord's ways will begin very soon. Would you pray for us that God would give us wisdom, patience, and grace for this responsibility and that Paisley's beauty would "be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quite spirit, which in God's sight is very precious (1 Peter 3:4)?"

Paisley before her 2 month shots... Zsha Zsha (aka Shelley) gave them to her.  It was tough for her to give them to her first grandbaby, but it was for her own good.  We were glad mom could do it.
After her 2 month shots...she was a big girl!
She did end up feeling really awful and ran fever for the next couple of days. She slept a lot! It was pitiful!
Finally, she was back to her self again!

Saying Goodbye!

So Friday the 11th we said our goodbyes to family.  It was bittersweet! We were sad to leave, but excited about getting back to school at NTBI and finishing our last semester.  We had planned to break up our trip into a few days and stay with friends on the way up.  Unfortunately this is not happening. We got to about Prescott, AR and our car started acting funny so we turned back around and came home.  Turns out it was our transmission! Uhg!! We are just glad that we did not make it too far out of town and end up breaking down somewhere that we knew no one.  The Lord was taking care of us.  Currently our car is at the Nissian place in Texarkana and should be out of the shop by Thursday afternoon.  We will leave this Friday and arrive back in Wisconsin on Sunday. Sunday is when orientation starts so we are making it back int he nick of time.  So  now we have to say goodbyes again.  Saying goodbye once is hard, but twice will be even tougher. The Lord has a reason for all this car trouble.  It is definitely an opportunity to trust Him.  Please pray we will have no more car trouble and that we are able to make it back to Wisconsin safely.  Love all of you.  Here are some random pics of Paisley and us over the past few week. Enjoy!!
Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
