Weekend trip to Peoria, IL!!

So over the weekend we traveled about 3 1/2 hours south to visit some friends (Jake and Melissa) in Peoria,  IL.  Jake was Jeremy's first roommate, and great friend when he was drafted by the Mets.  They lived together in Brooklyn, NY.  Jake and Melissa have a one month old baby boy, Kipton, and it was good for Jeremy and I to get a glimpse of what life will be like for us in about a month.  Melissa gave me lots of good advise on must have things before the baby is born.  Jake is still playing baseball and will be trying out for the Dogders in Arizona in about a week, so they will be traveling a large distance with their new addition.  Please pray for safe travels for them.  Anyway, I am no 25 weeks along and still growing.  Time is flying.  I can not believe we will have a baby in 13-17 weeks.  Its getting more real and it is becoming more difficult for me to concentrated during classes because I have baby on the brain.  Pray I will concentrate during these last few months. Classes have been going great.  Here is a peom from Romans class.  Hope it encourages your heart.  Have a great week!
Near, so near to God, Nearer I could not Be,
For in the Person of His Son, I'm just as Near as He!
Dear, so very Dear to God, Dearer I could not Be,
For in the Person of His Son, I'm just as Dear as He!!

23 Weeks and Counting!!

So I am officially 23 weeks along!  Baby girl is moving like crazy.  She weighs a little over a pound.  We are very excited.  Dad and Mom were so gracious and bought us a stroller last week. We found a good deal on one at Sears. It could also work for a boy, just in case the ultrasound lady was wrong.  Haha! Jeremy is very excited about putting it together.   It seems like it is a good time to have a baby because so many things are on sale right now.  Also I have posted some pictures of diaper wreaths I have been making for some of my friends here at the bible school.  So many people are having babies around here.  I guess it’s the age we are at.  The diaper wreaths are so fun to make and you can go as expensive or inexpensive as you want to on them.  Anyway, we just finished up with 1&2 Peter and Soteriology yesterday, and will begin Missions in Church History and James/Jude.   We are excited to start some new classes, but sad to see the others go.  1 Peter was so great and it was so cool to see the grace of God throughout the book.  The theme was, “Steadfastness in the Christian life requires and accurate understanding of the nature of life under the grace of God. “  The theme of 2 Peter was “Living spotlessly and blamelessly in light of eternity.”  Both books were great to study because to be honest, I had never really read them before.   Well I have to do some cleaning.  Love you all!

22 Weeks and Counting!

So this is me at 22 weeks. Jeremy felt baby girl kick on Sunday for the first time.  It was so exciting.  We can not wait for her to get here!! Also there is a blizzard coming to our area tonight! First time for us Arkansans to ever see anything like this.  We have already gotten about 7 inches of snow today and we are supposed to get another 7-12 tonight.  Yikes! There has not been this much snow here in 10 years. I made a big roast for dinner.  Sounded good with it being so cold and nasty outside.  Anyway classes are going great.  We will be finishing up with 1 and 2 Peter and Soteriology next week and starting James/Jude and Missions in Church History.  Well have to go check on my roast.  Love yall! Have a good week!

First Day of Classes Began!

So Jeremy and I began new classes on Wednesday of this week; Romans, Soteriology (The study of Salvation), and 1&2 Peter.   The first two days have been so good.   For our first assignment in Soteriology, the instructor gave us a list of verses that had the words "saved or salvation" in them and we had to decipher whether it was talking about justification, sanctification, glorification, or a physical salvation.  This was very enlightening because most of the time when I come to the word saved in the Bible; I automatically think its talking about justification.  This is not always true.  We are so excited about what God is going to teach us this semester.  Please be praying that we will be dependent on Him and get to know Him more deeply as we study His word.  We are so grateful that He is allowing us to do this.  Thanks for all of your support and encouragement.  Also be praying that the Lord will prepare us to be parents. I was 20 weeks on Monday and we had a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday.  Our doctor said that our sweet little girl seems to be developing perfectly and every looks so far so good.  Praise God!!  Love you all!  Have a good week.
After Christmas, Christmas Dinner with New Tribes Friends!

Baby Girl and Garrett Coming to the Cheese State!!

So our Christmas break was full of fun and excitement. We were able to spend lots of quality time with family and friends in Arkansas. The main highlight of our break was that Garrett got to ride back up with us to Wisconsin and spend the week. We had such a great time together and he was able to go with us to our ultrasound and share with us the excitement of having a little girl. It was shocking to Jeremy and I when we found out it was a girl because we both felt like it was a boy, but Garrett had always said it was a girl and got to say, "I told ya so." I have downloaded some pics of our time together. We put Garrett on a plane on Saturday headed back to Arkansas. It was sad to see him go, but we were so thankful that he was able to come see us. It was so good to have family in Wisconsin with us.

19 Weeks and Counting!
It's a girl and we are so excited and a little scared.  The Lord is blessing us so much and giving us such an awesome oppurtunity and responsibility having a child.  I definitely have a bump now which is weird and cool at the same time.  Jeremy has already started reading her bible stories form this great children's story bible that Cams got for her.  Its a really good because it teaches chronologically through the bible and teaches all the redemptive stories in the old testament that are a picture of Christ.  I can not wait for her to arrive.  We are still debating about what to name her and we might wait to see what we think she looks like.  Please be praying that the Lord with prepare us to be parents and give us wisdom.  Love you guys.  Have a great week.
